Pastor Alan Kinsey grew up in Greenville where he attended Greenville High School. He graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After working several years in the electric utility industry and as a consulting engineer, Pastor Kinsey entered the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia SC. He completed a unit of CPE at the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont in Burlington followed by a 12-month internship in the Britton Lutheran Parish, Britton, South Dakota. Pastor Kinsey has served congregations in Pennsylvania, and three here in South Carolina. He earned his Doctor of Ministry degree in 2017 from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. He is married to the former Nicole Lewis of Charleston. Together they have two children in Gabe and Karis, both are students at Christ Church Episcopal School in Greenville. Pastor Alan’s hobbies include woodworking, traveling, and hiking alongside mountain streams.
